Flea Aerosols – Flea aerosols make flea treatments quick and somewhat less messy than using liquid flea sprays. They come as ready-to-use products which eliminates the need to purchase other equipment. The secret to flea treatments using aerosols or liquids is to treat all the areas that need to be treated, thoroughly. Picking up all the items off the floor such as clothes, shoes, pet food and water bowls, pet bedding, stored items under the beds and in the bottom of closets is important, because the more floor area you can treat, the faster the flea problem will get better. You can also typically treat upholstered furniture and should treat these items if the pets are allowed to get on the furniture. Vacuuming the floors and under the cushions of the furniture will remove the eggs, larvae, pupae and adult fleas that are in these areas and can be important before the treatment. But, vacuuming these same areas is “critical” after the treatment. You will need to vacuum at least once a day, every day, for at least one week. If after one week, you are still seeing adult fleas jumping on people, continue to vacuum everyday for at least one more week. Please read and follow all pesticide labeling.
